Cristina Ribeiro holds a PhD in Informatics from Universidade Nova, Lisboa, Portugal, is Associate Professor in the Department of Informatics Engineering at Faculdade de Engenharia, Universidade do Porto (FEUP) and a senior researcher at INESC TEC.
She has collaborated and been in charge of research projects in the areas of cultural heritage, multimedia databases, information retrieval and combinatorial optimisation.
She is currently part of the InfoLab group at FEUP and co-leader of the EPISA project, on linked data models and technologies for archives.
Cristina Ribeiro serves as a coordinator for RDA-pt, the Portuguese node of the Research Data Alliance, and is leading the "Open Data Strategy" group in the context of INCoDe.2030.
She has been involved in teaching and curricular development in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Science programs at FEUP and has supervised 10 PhD and 41 MSc students.
Her current research interests are information retrieval, digital preservation and the management of research data. CiênciaID
