Apresentação Pessoal

Diogo Rocha is a Researcher with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Porto (FEUP) and an integrated member of the Research Center for Systems and Technologies (SYSTEC). He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, a program enhanced by his participation in the EIT Manufacturing Doctoral School, which adds a strong focus on innovation and entrepreneurship to his technical training. He received his M.Sc. degree in Engineering Physics from the Faculty of Sciences of the same university.

His research is conducted within the DIGITAL and InTelligent Industry laboratory (DIGI2) and focuses on the development of hybrid digital twins, integrating principles from his background in applied physics with advanced control systems. He has disseminated the results of this work in premier international venues, including the IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies and Factory Automation (ETFA), contributing to the development of robust and scalable solutions that drive the digital transformation of industrial partners.

In recognition of his active role and leadership within this European innovation community, he was nominated for Vice-President of the EIT Manufacturing Alumni.
