Araliya Mosleh finished her MSc. in Civil Engineering in 2009 at the Iran University of science and technology, Tehran, Iran. Between 2009 to 2012, she was well versed in comprehensive working experience as a project manager as well as technical director and structural designer/ supervisor of steel and concrete buildings and bridges. She has significant experience in a wide range of projects, including design and construction of buildings and bridges, repairing, restoration and retrofitting structures. Moreover, she has teaching experience at the Qazvin Azad University and consulting M.Sc. and B.Sc in their projects. From September 2012 to June 2016, Araliya studied as a Ph.D. student at the University of Aveiro, Portugal.

Araliya works as a postdoc researcher at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Porto, since 2016. From May 2016 until the present, she is involved in different research projects with the aims of (1) obtain the weigh-in-motion (WIM) of the train, and (2) wheel defect detection (WDD) of the railway train. The first aspect is related to railway management, while the other one is related to safety. The importance of this subject led her to spend 4 months at the University of Wollongong, Australia, and 8 months at EvoLeo Company in Munich, Germany as a visiting researcher to promote her knowledge and learning of emerging and novel technologies around the world as well as understanding the railway market needs.
