João Pedro C. Reis is a researcher in the Research Center for Systems & Technologies (SYSTEC) and in the Institute for Systems and Robotics - Porto (ISR-Porto) since 2013, as well as an Invited Teacher in the Department of Informatics Engineering (DEI) since 2017.

He received the M.Sc. in Informatics and Computing Engineering degree from Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (FEUP) in 2012 and Ph.D. degree in Informatics Engineering (ProDEI) in the same institution in 2019.

His research interests focus on Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence with particular applications in the context of manufacturing systems for process optimization. He is currently involved and has participated in several European and national research projects funded by European Commission and FCT (Portuguese Science Foundation).
