The first year comprises a number of taught courses spread over two semesters requiring the regular attendance on Mondays (afternoon) and Tuesdays (all day). The second year is entirely dedicated to the preparation of the Master's thesis.

About the Course
Qualifications for Admissions
The candidates should be professionals certified by the schools involved or similar schools and/or academic staff with adequate training to progress in the university teaching career (MsC Degree).
Course Aims
The course is intended to provide advanced knowledge on a wide range of subject matters relevant to environmental planning and urban design activities in both large conurbations and medium size towns, as well as on suburban and interurban territories. In addition the M. Sc. also aims to meet the specific training requirements of planning professionals working for the regional and the local administration.

STUDY PLAN
The M. Sc. has the duration of four semesters; the first two correspond to 8 taught courses plus 2 Seminars, and the remaining two semesters to the preparation and submission of the dissertation. In the overall, the taught courses and seminars comprise 13 hours per week during 25 weeks, covering several subjects and projects.
The course offers two specialization options: on Planning and on Project. The taught courses are organized around the following thematic areas.
