There is no definition of competitions open for this type of admission scheme.

Applicants

Applications via the Directorate-General of Higher Education - DGES.

The following students may apply through special admissions:

a) Portuguese officials on a diplomatic mission abroad and their accompanying relatives;

b) Portuguese grant holders abroad, Portuguese civil servants on official missions abroad and Portuguese officials from European Union (EU) institutions, and their accompanying relatives;

c) Portuguese Armed Forces personnel in active service, part of the permanent staff and under special contract for the provision of military service;

d) Grant holders who are nationals of Portuguese-speaking African countries;

e) Foreign officials on a diplomatic mission in Portugal and their accompanying relatives, under reciprocal arrangements;

f) High-performance athletes;

g) East Timorese nationals.

Procedure to request credit transfer/recognition

Credit transfer/recognition request (optional) is subject to the non-refundable payment of the fees set-out in the Table of fees of the University of Porto.

Decree-Law No. 64-A/2023, of 31^st October – Establishes the special regimes for access and entry to higher education, amending the regime for access and entry to higher education and the special competition for access to the Medicine course.

Ministerial Order No. 248-A/2023, of 1^st August – Approves the Competition Regulations for Special Access and Entry Schemes in Higher Education.
