Objectives

This is a Integrated Labs course offered in the Biomedical Engineering specialization, and it aims to offer a platform for the application and  integration of knowledge, methods and tools acquired by the students up to this point, and acquisition of new knowledge within the context of the projects to be developed. Additionally, project planing and software engineering skills will be object of particular reinforcement.

Learning outcomes and competences

Acquisition and development of CDIO competences, namely in conceiveing engineering systems(4.3) and design (4.4).

Teaching methods and learning activities

Group project work. Each project is supervised by one of the course instructors. Each group must hand in a final report in a review article format, as well as make an oral presentation in which all of the group members must participate.

  2. Reports submitted (R)
  3. Demonstration and discussion (D)

 Final grade = 0,3*C + 0,5*R + 0,2*D

Observations

The laboratory work consists of the experimental work necessary for the elaboration of the project carried out in remote mode using programming, computing and simulation tools in software and simulated data or available in remote databases.
