Objectives

 

 




At the end of the training unit the student should be able to:
Know the different styles of leadership;
Understand the relationship between different leadership styles and different
work team motivational patterns;
Understand the relationship between different leadership styles and different motivational patterns of work teams;
Identify different types of conflicts that emerge in work teams;
Identify the major characteristics of a team, its structure and its dynamics;
Understanding and applying feedback mechanisms (reinforcement / punishment),

Learning outcomes and competences

Adapt leadership  strategies and team motivation according to:

     nature, structure, size and motivation of the team

      role to play

     activity sector
     personal motivations of employees

     personal characteristics of managers

     history and future of the organization

The concept of leadership and its role within the project team;
Trait Theory vs Developmental theories on the emergence of leaders (personal, educational and contextual factors);
Different styles of leadership;
The main characteristics and behaviors of working teams;
The different motivational patterns of work teams;
The inevitability of conflict and role in organizational dynamics;
The different strategies of conflict resolution and the impact of choices made;
Technical (communication) that allow you to organize, encourage and motivate a team;
• Feedback: the role of praise and criticism in team management;

Discussion and brainstorming in order to to consolidate the concepts and to promote effective participation and involvement of all students;
