Objectives
This course unit aims at training students in the analysis of systems and in developing projects in an enterprise context, namely by integrating concepts, techniques and strategies studied in previous courses.
Learning outcomes and competences
At the end of this course unit, students should be capable of:
• describing and explaining the principles of systems engineering;
• enumerating and explaining the main techniques of modelling and system analysis;
• describing, explaining and applying principles, concepts and techniques related to project management;
• acquiring work experience in medium-size projects;
• acquiring work experience in a collaborative environment distributed and based on the internet.

Teaching methods and learning activities
This course unit will be based on the presentation of the strategic framework and scope of System Analysis and Project Management, along with the presentation and discussion of cases studies. It will be presented some extra themes if they help students carrying out their projects. Students will have to carry out projects and they will be organised in a team.
Type of evaluation: Avaliação distribuída sem exame final
Terms of frequency: To be admitted to exams, students cannot miss more classes than allowed by the rules. Besides they have to actively participate in the planning and conclusion of the projects.
Evaluation Type
Distributed evaluation without final exam
