Objectives

1. Know and understand the basic mechanisms of the creative process, individual and group 2. Understand and analyze the dynamics of the creative process; 3. Knowing the factors that stimulate and inhibit creativity 4. Develop specific competencies in the field of creativity 5. Develop creative attitude essentially applied to entrepreneurship; 6. Promote methods and techniques that stimulate creativity and innovation 7. Training improvisation competencies as structural elements of creative and entrepreneurial attitude.

1.Improvisation: predisposition for improvisation as a personality trait of the entrepreneur; Characteristics of the improviser; Exercises of theatrical improvisation with the aim of training creative competencies; Improvisation - verbal, nonverbal, of scenes; positions of perception in communication and negotiation : learn how to improvise according to the interlocutors; Game "Match Impro": focus on the "here and now", say "yes and ..." seize the moment opportunities, manage anxiety in ambiguity, improvise on teamwork. 2. Understanding creativity: - demystifying the concept - creativity definitions - basic creative skills 3.Obstacles and aspects promoting creativity 4. The creative process: -methods and tools to conduct the creative process and innovation - promote and develop capabilities, thinking and creative attitudes 4. Creativity in the organisational context: - the role of creativity in organisations - management aspects - case studies and inspiring examples

Teaching methods and learning activities

 

Aiming a learning process based on experimentation and introspection, the methodology privileged in the framework of UC, will address mainly exploratory exercises to promote creativity. The methods used range from conducting short exercises that exemplify and deepen the matter, and the reflection on the functioning of the methods and group dynamics in the exercises performed.

Eligibility for exams

As it is a theoretical-practical unit, a continual participation is obrigatory.

Calculation formula of final grade

1. Product of the work done during the semester, with the relative weight of 60%. 2. Presentation and discussion of the group work, with the relative weight of 30%. 3. Interest, commitment, quality and regularity of personal attendance, with the relative weight of 10%.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

Also for working students, the participation of 70 % of the classes is obrigatory.

Complementary reflection text about the contents of the discipline.

Observations

The classes are given in a part in English and in a part in Portuguese, dependent of the necessity of students.
