Module II- 10 laboratory assignments
A1/A2- Direct current circuits: Ohm’s and Kirchhoff’s law; Joule effect; charge and discharge of a condenser
A3/A4- Alternate current circuits (single-phase current): behaviour of ohmic, inductive and capacitive receivers
A5- Study visits to DEEC-FEUP (triphasic behaviour)
A6- Analysis of an electric power acquisition bill
A7/A8- Applied electromagnetism: magnetic field produced by a coil; electromagnet; law of induction and electric transformer; Laplace’s law and magnetic levitation;

Teaching methods and learning activities
Module I: To carry out practical assignments, to write a report and discussion
Module II: Practical-theoretical sessions in order frame the theoretical part of the assignments. Practical classes will be based on laboratory assignments and report writing and discussion.
