Objectives

Introduce the concepts related to the network planning and management.
Develop the skills necessary to analyse, design, evaluate and operate functioning communication management systems.

Program

Network Planning:
Requirements analysis. Flow analysis. Logical design. Design of the physical infrastructure. Addressing and routing.

Network Management:
Basic concepts. TCP/IP network management: SNMPv1, SNMPv2
and remote monitoring RMON1 and RMON2. SNMPv3: architecture, applications and security model.
