Objectives
This course aims to introduce students to concepts such as conservation and rational use of energy with a special emphasis on Electrical Energy. It will be given a perspective of the available technologies and a technical-economic analysis in nowadays legal framework, in Portugal and in the European Union.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Classes will be based on the presentation of the themes.
Students (groups of 3-4) will have to prepare a class on a previously set theme. These classes will be based on the presentation and discussion of real cases. Students will have to do their research by visiting companies, for example.
