Objectives

To provide a supplementary instruction in domains of Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering and other technical and profesional domains, in order to prepare future chemical engineers for working in firms which produce, process and/or sell polymers.

Program

Chemistry and engineering of polymerization reactions and processes: Linear ireeversible polycondensations-Linear reversible polycondensations-Non-linear polycondensations-Anionic and cationic polymerization-Ziegler-Natta polymeization-Free radical polymerization-Modification and chemical recycling of polymers.

Lectures supported by presentation of slides. Tutorial sessions with resolution of problems, previously distributed to the students. Laboratory sessions on polymer synthesis.
