Objectives

This course seeks to engage students in a thorough study of the concepts of organization theory and their application to information management issues within organizations of several types, covering political and information strategy matters. Students are introduced to a range of information types and concepts as well as techniques which may occur within organizational information resource management.

Information management and information work: the information life-cycle; information as resource and the value of information.
Information audits, communication audits and information mapping.
Organizational culture; organizational information policy.
