Abstract (EN): In [1] the authors presented a pair of equations that described the unbounded contact line length ratio, Uli s,h(¿), for spur and helical gears. The authors found an error in the definition of Uli h(¿) that compromises the analytical load sharing and mesh stiffness model when it is applied to helical gears. This note aims to correct the mathematical definition of Uli h(¿). Eq. (6) from [1] should read according to Eq. (1) presented in this note. © 2017
