Dia Mundial da Dança

april 29 | Parque da Quinta de Lamas

The World Dance Day* is being celebrated on 29th April, so FEUP's Social Commissariat, with the support of the Cultural Commissariat and the ‘Asprela In - Life & Culture Lab’ project, is promoting two dance events in Quinta de Lamas Park (located between FEUP and FEP) open to all FEUP and Asprela’s community:

 

12:00 pm (30min) – “LATIN RHYTHMS” - ALC Dance Studios

05:00 pm (30min) – “AFRO-URBAN DANCE” - CDUP (University Sports Centre of Porto)

 

This initiative aims to promote the well-being of the academic community through dance, which is a form of art and a universal language that promotes ideals such as freedom of expression and equal rights.

 

* The World Dance Day (or International Dance Day), celebrated on 29th April, was established by UNESCO's International Dance Committee in 1982. The celebration is based on the birth date of Jean-Georges Noverre, who was born in 1727 and became one of the world's greatest dancers.

 

Bring your trainers and come to dance; enjoy two events of fun and leisure in Quinta de Lamas Park, area located between FEUP and FEP.
