Personal Presentation

I am associate professor (with tenure)  at FEUP and senior researcher at  INESC TEC (Centre for Telecommunications and Multimedia).

My research interests center around the design of dedicated digital systems for complex and demanding embedded applications. I'm particularly interested in three areas:

1. Reconfigurable computing (FPGAs and CGRAs)
2. hardware acceleration of embedded systems
3. Hardware architectures for heterogeneous systems-on-chip

Some concrete research topics are:

• Dynamic partial reconfiguration of FPGAs
• Domain-specific hardware architectures
• RISC-V based architectures and integration
• Heterogeneous hardware platforms
