Current position: Postdoc Researcher (FEUP). Integrated member of the R&D unit CONSTRUCT- Institute of R&D in Structures and Construction.

Education: PhD in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto (2021); MSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Porto (2012).

Main research interests/skills: Artificial intelligence, damage identification, structural health monitoring, remote inspection, computer vision, digital railways, railway infrastructures, advanced models for analysis of the bridge-track-train dynamic interaction, structural testing and experimentation, model updating and validation.

Years of relevant experience: 10

Main activities: Member of the team of 10 research projects in the area of railways (national and H2020); author of more than 35 scientific publications (h-index Scopus 11) including 15 international/national journal papers, 24 articles/abstracts in international and national conferences, 2 international book chapters; editor of 2 books; regular reviewer of 6 indexed journal (largely Q1 indexed); supervisor/co-supervisor of 2 MSc theses (1 concluded) and 3 PhD theses (0 concluded).

Other relevant information: Internship in the University of California San Diego (UCSD) in the United States with Professor Michael D. Todd, specialist in Structural Health Monitoring Using Statistical Pattern Recognition, and in the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering (LNEC), Lisbon. Awarded with 4 prizes related with the research developed in the field of railways.
