Applicants over 23 years old who have taken special examinations designed to assess the ability to attend higher education in accordance with Order No. 15229/2006, of 14th July (the examination results must be within their period of validity).
Notes:
1 - The examinations are valid to apply for enrolment and registration in the year they are successfully taken and in the three subsequent academic years.
2 - If you have not taken the special examinations yet, you may see further here. Applications for taking the special examinations designed to assess the ability to attend higher education for applicants over 23 years old take place from 1st to 19th May 2017 (information will be available on the homepage of FEUP).

3 - Applicants covered by the international student status (Decree-Law No. 36/2014, of 10th March) cannot apply under this regime.
For the Master in Electrical and Computers Engineering (MIEEC), only applicants with a grade equal to, or higher than, 12 (out of 20) in the special examinations designed to assess the ability to attend higher education will be admitted.

Tie-breaking criterion
In the event of a tie, priority will be given to applicants who have obtained approval in the said examinations longer ago.
Application is subject to the payment of a non-refundable fee of 55 euros.

- After the deadline for submitting applications has passed, any applications regarding which fees have not been paid will be rejected outright.
