* The eventual call of non-placed applicants will be made by e-mail sent to the address indicated on the application process. Applicants who are called will have 24 hours to reply and say whether they are interested in the place available. After this deadline, and if there is no reply from the applicant called, this applicant will lose the chance to occupy the place available and the following non-placed applicant in the ranking list will be called.

Applicants who are applying with ENEM examinations:

Grade = (CHT x weighting + CNT x weighting + LCT x weighting + MT x weighting + R x weighting)

Conversion to a scale from 0 to 200 (Portuguese grading scale) according to the following formula:

Application grade = Grade x 200/1000

Only applicants with an application grade equal to or higher than 130 points will be admitted.

For the Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering (L.AERO), the Bachelor in Engineering and Industrial Management (L.EGI) and the Bachelor in Informatics and Computing Engineering (L.EIC) only applicants with an application grade equal to or higher than 140 points will be admitted.

Applicants who are applying with other examinations:

The application grade, on a scale from 0 to 200, is calculated by applying the following formula, the result of which is rounded to the tenth, with one-tenth being a value of no less than 0,05:

Application grade = P1 x 0,5 + P2 x 0,5

where:
P1 and P2 - grades, on the entire scale from 0 to 200, of the final examinations corresponding to the required entrance examinations (50% each).

Only applicants with an application grade equal to or higher than 120 points will be admitted.

For the Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering (L.AERO), the Bachelor in Engineering and Industrial Management (L.EGI) and the Bachelor in Informatics and Computing Engineering (L.EIC) only applicants with an application grade equal to or higher than 140 points will be admitted.

• ID document (Citizen Card/ID Card/Passport) or declaration containing the identification data (mandatory);
• Supporting document(s) regarding the specific examinations (national examinations, homologous examinations, ENEM) issued by the official education services of the corresponding country ⁽¹⁾ (mandatory);
• Diploma or certificate issued by a competent authority attesting to the successful completion of a secondary education programme ⁽¹⁾ (mandatory);
• A declaration issued by the official education services of the country of origin attesting that the secondary qualification they hold, obtained in that country, is sufficient there to be admitted to official higher education degrees in cycles of studies that are counterpart to those they wish to apply for ^{(1) (2)}. Alternatively, a certificate of equivalence to Portuguese secondary education issued by a national competent authority ⁽³⁾. (mandatory);
• Supporting document attesting to the knowledge of the language in which the cycle of studies will be taught - Portuguese (document issued by a competent authority or a declaration of honour issued by the applicant) (mandatory);
• Declaration stating that you are covered by the International Student status (Decree-Law No. 62/2018, of August 6^th, amended by Decree-Law No. 20/2025, of March 18^th, and Regulation No. 664/2018, of October 16^th) (mandatory);
• Declaration of honour for application to the incentive programme for foreign students of the University of Porto (optional);
• Letter of motivation (mandatory);
• Letter(s) of recommendation (optional);
• Access data to INEP (CPF and password) – Only for applicants who completed high school in BRAZIL and have the ENEM examination (Optional)
• Photo (optional).

⁽¹⁾ Documents, including in digital format, must be authenticated by consular offices or embassies of Portugal located in the country where the qualification was obtained or, for countries that acceded to the Hague Convention, hold the Hague Apostille of the country where the qualification was obtained. The same applies to the translations (mandatory) of documents whose original language is not Portuguese, Spanish, French or English.
If the authentication with the Hague Apostille is done on a certified copy of the original document, during this process the signature(s) that appear on the original document must be certified so that the capacity of the signatory(ies) of the original document is verified and ensured.

The remaining documents must also be written in/translated into one of the aforementioned languages.

The supporting document regarding ENEM must be authenticated. Alternatively, candidates may provide the access data to INEP, in order to validate the document. Otherwise, the results will be validated directly with INEP.

Documents can be submitted unauthenticated in the application stage. However, admitted applicants who have any pending document in their application process (e.g. unauthenticated certificates) must present the document by the end of the prior hearing and will only be able to enrol after they deliver/send the said document.

⁽²⁾ Applicants who hold a foreign secondary education certificate that is legally equivalent to Portuguese secondary education and that are mentioned in Ministerial Order No. 224/2006, of March 8^th or in Ministerial Order No. 699/2006, of July 12^th, are exempt from submitting the Declaration and the equivalence to Portuguese secondary education.

Application is subject to the payment of a non-refundable fee of 100 euros.

Procedure to pay through one of the payment methods available in the current account (ATM references, MBWay or Visa or Mastercard credit card):
1. Click on the image  associated to the amount you wish to pay.
2. In the UP's payment portal you should select the payment method you want to use and proceed in accordance with the instructions of the chosen method until the payment is successfully made. 

Procedure to pay with PayPal:
1. Click on the button  next to the application fee.
2. Choosing this option will connect to the PayPal website to make the payment.
To make the transaction with PayPal we suggest that you use Google Chrome as your browser.
Note: Paypal payment can only be used for the application fee. Payments via PayPal regarding any other type of fees (e.g. registration or tuition) shall not be accepted.

In the case of payments made from abroad and if it is not possible to use one of the methods mentioned above, you may exceptionally make a bank transfer, with the expenses on behalf of the payer, using the data in the linked document. In this case, you should send the proof of bank transfer to tesouraria@fe.up.pt, with the following data:
- name of the payer and name of the applicant, as well as indication of the purpose of the payment (application).
