Specific conditions to access the cycle of studies
The following may apply for this cycle of studies:
The admission criteria are those of FEUP's General Rules for third cycles, in accordance with the criteria of the FCT (Fundação Nacional para a Ciência e Tecnologia) and, additionally, with the criteria of the internal PDEQB rules (Art. 7):
- Hold a master's degree or a second cycle of studies in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, Environmental and Energy Engineering, Materials Engineering or related areas;
- Hold a degree or undergraduate degree from a national or foreign institution, recognised as appropriate by the Scientific Committee of the Doctoral Programme;
- Have a scientific or professional curriculum recognised as relevant and appropriate by the Scientific Committee.
Selected applicants should preferably have an overall average (GPA) of 14/20 or better in at least one previous academic degree. In addition to the above minimum requirements, competitive applicants for this doctoral programme must demonstrate:
- Motivation to attend the programme clearly expressed through the application process.
- Extra value will be given to publications and previous experience in research activities.
