Workshop 'Wolf Conservation in Human-dominated Landscapes: a European Approach'

The workshop "Wolf Conservation in Human-dominated Landscapes: a European Approach", taking place on May 21, 2015, at Vairão Campus, is organized by CIBIO-InBIO's CONGEN Group in the scope of the Action Plan for the conservation of the wolf in Portugal (Plano de Ação para a Conservação do Lobo-ibérico - PACLOBO), and the main goals are: - to perceive how was the process of preparing and implementing action plans for the wolf in other European countries with similar ecological and sociological contexts to Portugal, as well as the main management actions that have been developed; and to - to present and discuss the preparing process and the actions to be implemented under the Action Plan for the wolf in Portugal, taking into account the experiences from other European countries. The workshop will have an open session, with lectures by invited speakers and open to all participants with interest in this topic, and a working session limited to invited speakers and the team responsible for preparing the PACLOBO (Management Team + representatives of each Interest Group).
