The Program will be defined for each Internship work, for each student individually, given the huge range of Internship options, which can take place in a research center or in a Company, each student will have their own work plan that is presented at the beginning of the academic year, and must be approved by the Internship Scientific Committee before it begins.

Eligibility for exams

The student must work at least 3/4 of the expected time, or 126 hours in the academic year.

Calculation formula of final grade

The work of the Intern student must be evaluated by his/her Supervisor - Grade A
The Internship Report will be evaluated by an External Evaluator and professor of the Biology Department of FCUP - Grade B
The Final Grade (FG) to be awarded will be determined in this proportion:

FG= 0.6xA + 0.4xB

Classification improvement

There is no improvement in Grade during the school year.

Observations

All internship work carried out in companies or other institutions outside the UP domain must be registered through FCUP's Employability Department. The student, the company and the supervisors must sign the ECCE document. In addition, there must always be a co-advisor from the Biology Department at FCUP involved in the student's advisory team.

Internships carried out at an institution within the UP universe do not require a Protocol.
