Personal Presentation

I am particularly interested in social transmission of information in man and animals from a biological viewpoint.

I am also interested in the dimensions of urban sustainability and our role as 'ecosystem engineers'.

I am convinced that fundamentals ideas of Biology can be explained to anyone willing to make the effort needed to understand them. In the case of behaviour, we know quite a lot about what animals and humans do, and about the anatomy and physiology of the brain, but only in the simplest cases can we explain the former in terms of the latter.
