The University of Porto is aware of national and European funding programs and opportunities that can benefit scientific research, generate talent and increase the visibility of its R&D+i activities in Portugal and around the world.

Research and Projects Office

The University of Porto has a service dedicated to attracting external funding for projects to support U.Porto's research, development and innovation (R&D+i) activities, supporting members of the academic community in the process of preparing applications and contracting funded R&D+i projects.

Newsletter Science@U.Porto

By subscribing to the Newsletter Science@U.Porto you have access to relevant information for the entire U.Porto scientific community, thus establishing a direct communication channel with teachers, researchers, doctoral students and teams supporting scientific activity at the University.

Working Group for Research and Fundraising (WG RF)

This working group embodies the spirit of internal cooperation and sharing, periodically bringing together members of the Vice-Rectorate for Research and Innovation, the Research and Projects Office (SIP), the Organic Units, Research Units and Research Institutes associated with U.Porto, with a view to discussing funding opportunities for research, among other related aspects.

The WG RF discusses and accelerates activities related to sharing, discussing and agreeing on topics and initiatives in the field of research, such as raising competitive funding and/or developing strategic and R&D+i projects.

The European Research Council (ERC) offers attractive funding (ERC grants) to support researchers with innovative ideas in all scientific fields.
