Biography of Aarão de Lacerda (1863-1921)

He studied Natural Philosophy at the University of Coimbra and graduated at the Medical-Surgical School of Porto. He taught Philosophy, Zoology and Mineralogy at the Polytechnic Academy of Porto and was a teacher at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. He directed the Geological Sciences Group and the Museum and Laboratory of Mineralogy and Geology of that Faculty. A parliament member and doctor, he was one of the promoter of he Portuguese Society of Anthropology and Ethnology.
