Abstract (EN):
This article consists of a systematic literature review of the use of comics as a resource in science education and communication. It aims to analyze and understand how studies have used comics as a didactic resource to communicate science and how this use is related to the development of learning. The starting question is ¿What is the potential of comics in science communication and education?¿. Articles published in journals in the last 20 years, in English, Portuguese and Spanish, with a focus on the application of comics (with a scientific theme) in the context of science communication and/or science education, will be selected. The databases used were Scopus and Web of Science. By reading the abstracts, works from secondary sources were excluded, that is, works that summarize, interpret or evaluate texts from primary sources or those that do not focus on the application of comics in the context of science communication or science education. We conclude that the scientific-themed comic is as or even more effective than a traditional didactic resource and generates greater engagement as students become interested in reading more about the topic.
