Resumo (PT): A presente dissertação, elaborada no âmbito do projeto de investigação Vozes Vivas, tem por objetivo a compreensão da herança de cinco dissertações realizadas no âmbito das Provas de Agregação da Escola Superior de Belas-Artes do Porto (ESBAP), da autoria de Alexandre Alves Costa, Cristiano Moreira, Domingos Tavares, Manuel Correia Fernandes e Pedro Ramalho, personagens incontornáveis da Escola do Porto, na construção e consolidação, no decurso das décadas, da Identidade da Faculdade de Arquitectura da Universidade do Porto (FAUP). Com efeito, constata-se a diversidade dos seus legados. Contudo, a visão de grupo adotada, reflexo de um pensamento coletivo, serve um propósito claro de resposta conjunta às críticas apontadas à Escola na década de 70, realçando os principais valores que a definem, assim como as particularidades inerentes à sua metodologia de ensino e atividade letiva. Uma vez que a FAUP testemunha e dá continuidade aos legados destas personagens, apesar das transformações dos tempos e da sociedade em que se insere, verifica-se que o ensino interdisciplinar ao qual recorre assenta nas bases fundamentais do Desenho, da Teoria e da História, as quais confluem no Projeto. Tal método concilia, assim, Arte e Técnica, criatividade e construção, afirmando-se enquanto processo de síntese que atravessa gerações e marca todos os estudantes que frequentam, anualmente, a instituição. Assim, recorrendo ao estudo das biografias e das dissertações das Provas de Agregação das personalidades referidas, visa-se recolher um conjunto de valores e definições fundamentais do ensino da Escola do Porto. Através deste processo, reconhecer-se-ão os seus principais contributos para a Identidade da FAUP.

Abstract (EN): This dissertation, written as part of the Vozes Vivas (Living Voices) research project, aims to understand the legacy of five Porto School of Fine Arts (ESBAP) Aggregation Tests, by Alexandre Alves Costa, Cristiano Moreira, Domingos Tavares, Manuel Correia Fernandes and Pedro Ramalho, key figures from the Porto School, in the construction and consolidation, over the decades, of the Identity of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto (FAUP). In fact, the diversity of their legacies is evident. However, the group vision adopted, a reflection of collective thinking, serves a clear purpose as a joint response to the criticisms leveled at the School in the 1970s, highlighting the main values that define it, as well as the particularities inherent in its teaching methodology and learning activity. Since the FAUP bears witness to and continues the legacies of these characters, despite the changes of the times and the society in which it operates, it can be seen that the interdisciplinary teaching it uses is based on the fundamental foundations of Design, Theory and History, which come together in the Project. This method thus combines Art and Technique, creativity and construction, asserting itself as a process of synthesis that spans generations and marks all the students who attend the institution every year. Therefore, by studying the biographies and dissertations of the Aggregation Tests of the personalities mentioned, the aim is to collect a set of fundamental values and definitions of teaching at the Porto School. Through this process, their main contributions to the FAUP's Identity will be recognized.
