Abstract (EN): Based on the degree of emphasis and reliance on biological ecology as well as conceptual and methodological frameworks, we distinguish five urban ecological perspectives based on their research focus and methodology. These approaches are essentially developed from these broad perspectives on urban ecology: ecology in cities, ecology of cities as socioeconomic structures, and ecology of cities as ecosystems.
