The ICBAS Center at the Vairão Agricultural Campus is part of the Vairão Veterinary Clinical and Research Center (CCIVV), which consists of two areas of clinical/practical teaching - the Vairão Equine Clinical Center (CCEV) and the Vairão Animal Reproduction Center (CRAV), with a total area of 13 ha.

CCEV main objectives are the practical training of Veterinary Medicine students and the provision of a reference service in the field of Internal Medicine and Equine Surgery. The clinical team currently consists of five veterinarians, one of whom is a Specialist in Equine Surgery (Diplomate of the European College, Dip. ECVS). The center is equipped with inpatient stalls, an examination room with two stocks, an operating and recovery room, an analysis laboratory, and a pharmacy. The facility also has a large grazing area with fences and shelters for the horses. Consultations and surgeries are only accepted when the clinical case is referred by a veterinarian.

The CRAV was established to support the teaching of Theriogenology (Animal Reproduction) for students in the IMMIMV, and to provide community services in the areas of assisted reproduction, diagnosis, and treatment of reproductive pathologies in domestic animals. CRAV features pasture areas, enclosures with shelters and boxes for horses, stocks for equine examination, a semen collection room with a phantom mare, and a fully equipped equine reproduction laboratory. The current permanent technical staff of CRAV is made up of 2 veterinarians, one of whom is a European Specialist in Animal Reproduction at EBVS®. Additionally, CRAV hosts a Team for Collection and Production of Bovine Embryos (PT0107TE PIV), which benefits from the ongoing and exclusive contribution of an engineer with over 20 years of experience in in vitro production of bovine embryos.

Vairão Veterinary Research and Clinical Centre (CCIVV) is a center with integrated university extension structures to support undergraduate and postgraduate veterinary medicine education, basic and clinical veterinary research, and the provision of services, particularly in the areas of equine reproductive medicine (CRAV - Vairão Animal Reproduction Center) and equine medicine and surgery (CCEV - Vairão Equine Clinical Center, CAMV DGAV with number PT 10319CL).

2. Each area of ​​activity includes a director, professors, veterinarians, and/or technical support staff, and its organization is defined  (CRAV - in its own regulations.
