Objectives

The teaching of the discipline is integrated in a vertical system (one teacher = one speciality instead of one teacher = one discipline) together with the disciplines of Small Animal clinical semiology and Companion animal medicine and surgery I and II. This system culminates with the application of the methods in the clinical cases of both 5th year disciplines.
The objective of this system is to provide a fluid sequence of acquisition and application of knowledge, as well as the correction, in the same year, of the potential errors detected in the latter years, adjusting the teaching of the younger students in the same year.
The teaching of the discipline is mainly based in theorectical and theorico-practical work, in order to allow students to participate from the start of the 5th year, all clinical cases of the service, regardless of the speciality, with a solid base of knowlledge.
