Objectives
Understanding of the major geologic processes promoted by a global geodynamics that integrates the composition and evolution of planet Earth. Earth assumed as a system in which processes occur in an iterative cycle involving a dynamic internal and external dynamics. Recognition of the importance of Geology in the management of natural resources of the ocean and in the prevention of natural hazards related to marine activities in coastal systems.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Lectures.
Practical classes
Study visits, which will be presented, analyzed and discussed issues related to coastal erosion, sediment dynamics on the northern coast, the coastal protection works, among others.
Realization of a monograph on the topic related to Marine Geology.
Evaluation Type
Distributed evaluation without final exam
Eligibility for exams
According to the regulation of ICBAS
Calculation formula of final grade
Score of zero to twenty values, based on the drafting and discussion of a monograph (80%) and reports from practical classes (20%).
