Objectives
This is the second subject on Gross Human Anatomy that is offered to the medical students in this Institute. It follows the general aims that have been described for Systematic Anatomy I (1st year of the medical curriculum), but these goals are directed now to three different chapters of Human Anatomy. Previous anatomical information is integrated with the new knowledge, particularly in what refers topographical notions on the general organization of the human body.
Program
Three new chapters of Gross Human Anatomy are adressed in this second subject of the Anatomical Studies of the medical curriculum: angiology, spanchnology and estesiology. The information on the vascular components of the human body is organized into heart, arteries, veins and lymphatic system. Visceral anatomy is studied according to the different systems of the human body (digestive, respiratory, urinary, reproductive, endocrine). The sensory organs are addressed during the final two weeks of the semester.

Teaching methods and learning activities
The students are asked to prepare the subject of laboratory classes in advance. Handling of cadavers is mandatory.

Eligibility for exams
Students are obliged to attend laboratory classes according to the law of the university.
Calculation formula of final grade
Final exam: 16.
2 short written exams: 4.

Students have to prepare laboratory classes in advance.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
Whenever asked, the Departament prepares additional written exams.
