Objectives
To study the general History of Medicine giving relevance to the Portuguese Medicine.
To show an inter-dependence of Medicine Specialities "versus" its impact in society, poiting out that “What is actually in force isn’t the definitively valid”; to understand that “the doctor that only knows Medicine, doesn’t know Medicine at all”

Teaching methods and learning activities
- Theorical classes: based in the programme the classes should be interactive in order to meet the students interests and expectation
- Seminaries (optional): occur in the meetings of the Portuguese Society of History of Medicine and Medical Philosophy. The students will be invited to present, in, no more than 10 minutes, a subject of their preference
