Resumo (PT):
The seismic behaviour of buildings with reinforced concrete frames characterisation and their non-linear seismic responses evaluation are the end porposes of this paper, trying to validate and to make clear some procedures related with seismic design of structures. A global method of behaviour coefficients quantification based on structural safety is also presented and used to emphasise the influence of some structural parameters, such as the frequency of vibration, the height, the ductility capacity and some vertical irregularities on the behaviour coefficients values. Different regular and irregular buildings (4, 8 and 20 storeys) subjected to the earthquake action were analysed according to a non-linear hysteric model.
