Abstract (EN): Decreasing time-to-market by shortening the design and development cycle of electronic products is one of the main goals in today's electronics industry. The development cycle calls for rapid implementation and prototype validation, so as to maximise the window of opportunity of a product. Rapid prototyping is nowadays an important technology for this purpose, allowing quick implementation and accurate emulation of the final product. An overview of this area is presented in this module.
