Assistant Hospital Physician in Internal Medicine, specializing in Autoimmune Diseases
Completed his PhD in Biomedicine and Integrative Biology / Immunology at the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciências. He also specialized in Health Policy, Administration, and Evaluation at the Faculty of Medicine of Porto. He also completed the Harvard Medical School Portugal Clinical Scholars Training, aiming to foster clinical research.

Since 2011, he has been a collaborator in undergraduate teaching at ICBAS. Recently, is an investigator and collaborator in multicenter studies on the innovation of medical teaching methods, particularly in virtual simulation.

His research focuses on autoimmune diseases, especially understanding their etiopathogenesis and the development of cardiovascular events in chronic inflammatory diseases. His career is marked by contributions to the understanding and treatment of autoimmune diseases, reflected in his publications and research projects.
