Conjunction course with: Faculty of Engineering , University of Porto
This course is based on a training through an integrated master degree of 5 years , predicted in the recent Bologna Agreement.
The chosen name for the course ( Bioengineering ) intended to involve the different Engineering applications included in this training , internationally known for Biological and Biomedical Engineering , that corresponds to different labor markets, but with a common initial formation.
It aims to prepare human resources with the capacity to approach problems in a multidisciplinary way of biomedicine and industrial biotechnology, under the perspectives of process and engineering molecular.
The course offers three branches or specializations ( Biological Engineering , Biomedical Engineering , Molecular biotechnology ) after the 2 years in common. The first two branches are centered in the Faculty of Engineering , while the third branch is centered ICBAS (Syllabus).
