Objectives
Study of the physiological mechanisms in the different groups of animals relevant to the veterinary medicine practice.
Students must acquire abilities in the areas of the nervous, digestive and reproductive system and integrate them with the morphologic knowledge in a way to use an global approach to the problems that they will find later in the pre-clinic and clinic curricular units.
Program
Control and integration by the nervous system; information and senses. Movement, information and integration: movement, muscle and biomechanics; physiology of exercise;
Digestion: digestion in ruminant and non-ruminant mammals; digestion in poultry; neuroendocrine control of digestion.
Endocrine system and reproduction: reproductive physiology of mammals.

Sum of the theoretical part (15/20) in the final examination and practical part (5/20) . Students must obtain in the theoretical part, at least 7.5/15.
