Objectives, activities and expected/achieved results

Our proposal aims to fi ll a MAJOR GAP with CLINICAL IMPACT on gastric cancer management by identifying specifi c biomarkers for improved patient care. Our OBJECTIVE is to establish a novel microbiome-centered stratifi cation strategy tailored for these patients, pursuing the following SPECIFIC AIMS:
1. Identify specifi c tumor microbiome signatures in gastric cancer.
2. Establish the infl uence of the microbiome on the gastric cancer molecular landscape.
3. Determine key tumor microbiome and molecular factors that explain prognosis and response to treatment.
4. Validate the clinical impact of ONCOMICROBIOME biomarkers in independent patient cohorts.
