Graduated in Veterinary Medicine by the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS), University of Porto (2007). PhD in Veterinary Sciences by ICBAS in the area of oncology (2012). Assistant professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies (FMV-ULHT), in Lisbon (2013-2017). Responsible for the oncology service of the school hospital at FMV-ULHT (2013-2017). Assistant professor at the School of Science and Technology at the University of Évora (2018). Assistant professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinics at ICBAS (2019 to date). Affiliation as a researcher at CECA-ICETA (since 2015). Training in internal medicine and veterinary oncology at the University of Tennessee-USA (2005-2006), at the University of Wisconsin-Madison - USA (2011) and at the Royal Veterinary College-UK (2014). Author of several publications in international veterinary scientific journals and guest speaker at several congresses and courses in the field of oncology.
