Teaching methods and learning activities
On the theoretical level oral exposure through PowerPoint is used as well as the discussion of the papers previously suggested. On a practical level, skills to lead and engage in groups are promoted through training.
This type of classes takes place in a specific room, which is suitable for the training of group dynamics. At the beginning, teachers exemplify the application of group dynamics appropriate to the contexts of health.
The unit assessment includes two types of evaluation:
- Theoretical component, consisting of a written essay planning a group intervention program apllied to a specific population previously assigned to each group (e.g. people HIV positive). All options taken in planning must be theoretically supported. This component has a weighting of 12 points;
- Practical component, which involves the presentation of the work through the group mobilization within the classroom. This component has a weighting of 8 points

Eligibility for exams
Classes are compulsory. Mandatory to attend 75% of classes
Calculation formula of final grade
The unit assessment includes two types of evaluation:
- theoretical component, consisting of a written work with the planning of a group intervention program. All options taken in planning must be theoretically supported. This component has a weighting of 12 points.
- practical component, which involves the presentation of the work through the group mobilization within the classroom. This component has a weighting of 8 points.
All ratings are expressed on a scale from 0 to 20, resulting in a weighted final score of the two components. Only the final result will be rounded.
For approval students must have a minimum of 10 marks in each of the components.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
Students with special status with non-attendance regime, will have to submit a paper in which there is a bibliographic review on the theoretical models with applicability in the group context, as well as a proposal for group intervention in the health area, according to guidelines given by the respective teacher. These students being exempted from the presentation component in the classroom. The written work has a weighting of 20 values in the final grade. To pass the UC, students must have a minimum grade of 10 values in the work.
Classification improvement
If the student intends to make improvement rating, he will keep the practical component and performs a final exam with a weighting of 60% (12 points). This exam focuses on all theoretical and practical content taught in the course.
The evaluation examination for improvement can occur only in the special evaluation period of the year when the course is performed.
