Objectives

The goal of this CE is to foster students knowledge and competencies and to construct, design, implement and evaluate educational intervention projects with adults.

Learning outcomes and competences

The curricular unit aims to promote:

- knowledge and competences of various intervention methods in the field of adult education,

- understanding of the relevance of relationship, collaboration and participation as central elements of intervention-in-context;

- the critical and reflexive analysis of intervention projects in the field of adult education,

- the development, design and evaluation of adult education research and intervention projects in context.

I. The challenge of intervention with adults in educational contexts. Context analysis, needs/resources assessment and project development and monitoring.
II. Typology of intervention methodologies - direct and indirect strategies;
- educational helping relationships,
- consultation/training.
III. Power and support as individual and societal resources:
- social support group, social capital;
- peer education, mentorship and self-help and support groups;
- power and individual, organizational and community empowerment.  
IV. Ehical challenges in educational, social and community interventions. 
V. Analysis and discussion of intervention projects with adultos in diverse educational contexts.
