Objectives
This unit aims at providing students the experience of integrating (as participating members) a group of development, in which the necessary theoretical notions should be assimilated by practice. The main objective is that students develop competences in the field of group mobilization, learning to communicate better, learning to listen and to know how to choose the adequate dynamics according to the group stages, as well as other dynamics applied in the areas of specific psychological intervention.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theoretical-practical classes.
At a theoretical level it is provided knowledge about the functioning of developmental groups and therapeutic groups.
At a practical level it is provided the acquisition of competences to lead those groups. During classes it is expected that students participate as members of a group of personal development. With this methodology students will experience some techniques of group mobilization from different models.

Eligibility for exams
Attendance at classes is required. Students must be present in 75% of classes taught.
Calculation formula of final grade
Final mark will be calculated based on the grade obtained in the theoretical-practical work (5 values) developed within small groups and in final exam (15 values).

Students with special status, who choose not to attend the classes, must present a work, including a theoretical conceptualization on group phenomena and a proposal of group intervention, according to the orientations given by the teacher (5 values). They also have to do the final exam (15 values).
