I have been working on gender, work-family articulation, and family relationships through several national and international research projects.

Most of my work has been dedicated to uncovering how, in a context where a traditional view of women and maternity is highly endorsed, dual-earners couples manage to keep up their investments in work, couple and parental relationships and also the impacts on the decisions (not) to have (more) children.

Another stream of research has been focused on the role of Higher Education Institutions as agents of change toward gender equality and how gender dimensions can be incorporated into teaching and research.
