Objectives


The UC, Health, Age and Work studies the phenomenon of growing old in work. It is placed at the level of social nature concerns and at the biological and cognitive levels. The main goals of this course try to answer two questions:

- how older workers live progress in work,  thecnological  and organisational transformations

- how older workers experience working with a strong cognitive and physical component

Teaching methods and learning activities

1. Contact activities: lecture, group discussion, to attend the development in the working field, discussion of the presented report.

2. Autonomous activities: to search for information sources, to read and to analyse the documentary and written sources, to do observations of a worker and interviews, to make a report.

Calculation formula of final grade

In the evaluation the following items will be considered: the written test (50%) and group written report (50%). If an evaluation component is not done it will have a 0 marks valuation. The minimum demand classification is 25%  in written text and 25% in the group written report.

Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)

The final classifications of the students with a special status concern the same evaluation components of the other students. The work will be guided by the rules of functioning of all students.
