Objectives
This curricular unit focus on the impact of globalization on the existinting and on the emerging forms of sociability at local, national and global level. It intends to analyse the conceptual and political reconfigurations of individuals and groups as citizens and actors of social change. The curricular unit assumes that the management of social change as 'politics of difference', as citizenship, reflexivity and the assumption of indivual and group differences are increasingly linked together.
Objectives:
•To identify the impacts of globalization on the present and emerging sociabilities.
•To contribute to professional and political reflexivity of those o design projects for ‘others’ ( defined by ethnicity, class, gender, life-style, etc.)
• To identify individual ans group ‘differences as subjectos of their own social and individual action.
Competences:
- Identification of the sociological and epistemological status of those who are ‘the object’ of project design in educational contexts.
- Identification of the models of relationship with the difference that they presuppose in policies and projects.
Learning outcomes:
- Translation of the implications of the status allocated to the actors involved for social work contexts .
- Translation of the implications of the models of relationship with the difference for professionals' reflexivity in the context of intervention projects.

Eligibility for exams
The students must attend at least 75% of the session, and in the final exam to achieve at least 10 (in a 0-20 scale) to pass the curricular unit.
Calculation formula of final grade
The final mark corresponds to the exam's mark, expressed in a 0 to 20 scale, being necessary to achieve at least 10 to pass the curricular unit.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
The students legally authorised to not attending the sessions will deliver, besides the final exam, must deliver two reports on themes agreed upon with the teacher.
Classification improvement
The students wishing to improve their evaluation can use the legally fixed exame for that purpose.
