Objectives
-To identify the impact of globalization at the level of the existing sociabilities and the new ones.
-To contribute to the professional reflexibility and policy of those who conceive projects for “others” (defined by ethnic group, class, gender, lifestyle, etc.);
-To identify individual and group “differences” as subjects of their own social and individual action.
Competences
-To identify, in educational contexts, the sociological and epistemological statute towards the targets the projects are conceived.
-To identify in the presented policies and projects the models of relation with difference that they imply and convey.
Program
This unit is based in the impact f globalization in the existing forms of sociability and those that, within that context, are emerging at a local, national and global level, and in the conceptual and political reconfigurations of individuals and groups as citizens and subjects/actors of social change.
The unit configures the problematics of management processes of social change as “policies of difference”, that is, in the way that, presently, citizenship, reflexibility and individual and group differences are being politically reorganized.

3.Process of construction of identities in a time of transition: the role of education
4.Structure and culture: the cultural mind, the national culture and the hybridism and “mestiçagem” (crossing of racings)
