Objectives
Locate the prosthodontics in the context of dentistry
Learning the terminology and basic concepts needed to understand the removable prosthodontics.
Studying the consequences of dental losses: individually, socially and economically. Acquirement of theoretical and practical knowledge needed for the diagnosis of the partial and complete edentulous patient.
Acquirement of general knowledge related to the rehabilitation of edentulous patients, with partial and complete removable prosthesis.
Contact with equipment, materials and techniques used in the prosthetic treatment

Teaching methods
Theoretical teaching: exposure of the materials listed in the program illustrated and accompanied with appropriate iconography; the students are encouraged to participate actively in class.
Practical training: execution by students of the all tasks of the program.
Discussion of each work with the student for the objective of learning: (1) how to make it and (2) why we do it.
